Wilmington Man Arrested After Car Crash

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Wilmington man was arrested Tuesday morning (Dec. 18) after driving his car off the road and striking a utility pole.

The accident took place around 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of Birch Street and State Street.

During the course of responding to the accident, officers determined the driver had been impaired and did not have a valid license. Keegan S. Farnham, 21, 83 Nichols St., Wilmington, was arrested and charged with OUI-Drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.

Police Don't Just Make Arrests, They Help Families

On Monday, Dec. 17, at 5:37 p.m., a woman came into Tewksbury Police Headquarters and asked to speak to an officer about her 6-year-old son. She told an officer that she was having problems with her son kicking, spitting, swearing and lying. The officer spoke with the mom and with the little boy and offered PAL signups.

Additional arrests:

Jonathan Figueroa, 25, 22 7th Ave., 2nd Floor, Haverhill, was arrested on Dec. 17 on a warrant.

Additional incidents:

On Sunday, Dec. 16, at 10:18 a.m., a person came into the lobby of Police Headquarters with a girl's mountain bike. He said he had found it near his house on Shawsheen Street. It was a coral blue Tempas bike.

On Saturday, Dec. 15, at 7:38 p.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported on Livingston Street near the railroad tracks. The vehicle had struck a utility pole, bringing down power lines. The vehicle initially left the scene. Witnesses described it as being a white Lincoln Navigator. A fire engine responding to the accident came across the vehicle and the driver. The driver was taken to Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
