UPDATED: Woman Reports Being Attacked On Ames Hill Road

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, Tewksbury Police received a 911 call just before 8 p.m., from a woman reporting she had been attacked by a man on Ames Hill Road.

According to the woman, a black male wearing a stocking over his head grabbed her from behind. She managed to get away and the man took off.

Several units from the Tewksbury Police Department responded to the scene with help from a K9 unit from Burlington but the suspect could not be located. The case remains under investigation.

On Saturday, just after 6 p.m., Police received two 911 calls reporting a disturbance at the Knights of Columbus. According to the callers, a man pulled a knife on another person and then took off in a red truck with the word "McKenzie" on the side.

Officers converged on the scene, found the truck and pulled it over. After an investigation, officers arrested Thomas A. Southmayed, 30, 63A Lake St. Tewksbury. He was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and violation of a protection order.

The man was located at Kerry Plaza and was returned to the hospital.

I believe the incident above where the woman reported she had been attacked by a man was on Ames Hill Drive and not Ames Pond Road.

Cathy Perkins, who made the whole thing up? I'm confused. Are you talking about the incident at the Lodge at Ames Pond on Saturday night?

Cathy, Lori, I live at the Lodge. There is more to this story. Some folks, other residents and police 'suspect' that there is drug activity in Building # 2. The 'working theory' is that the woman attacked complained to management about the drug activity and the assault was retaliation for her complaining... More to come, but good to know the police are on it...
