Woman Reports Man Leaping Out of Trash Can
Store employee says persistent would-be customer broke glass door.
On Friday, a woman called police at around 7:30 a.m. from 630 South St. to report that an unknown male had jumped out of her town-issued trash barrel as she approached.
According to the woman, the man then headed toward the Elks Club. she said he was wearing a baseball jacket and may have been carrying a plastic bag. An officer responded to the scene and was able to locate the man.
According to the police report, the man told the officer that "he was feeding the birds at that time."
Glass door smashed at store
On Thursday, at around 12:30 a.m., an employee of the Shell Gas Station at 365 Main St. reported that a male party had approached the store and started banging on the locked door, yelling that he had just gotten into an accident at the intersection of Pike and Main.
According to the employee, while the man was banging on the door, the glass broke. The man then left the scene. The employee was unable to provide a description of the man.
Woman upet by men's conduct
Thursday, at around 9:50 p.m., a woman walked into the Police Headquarters at 918 Main St. to report the conduct of four men standing outside Jade East, 433 Main St. The woman said the men were smoking and drinking and that one was urinating on a car.
An officer responded to the scene and spoke to the individuals. The officer called for a car at the scene to be towed and sent the men on their way.
