Site lays out the facts, original sources behind the Tisei family web of fraud
BOSTON – Today, the Massachusetts Democratic Party launched “Tisei Facts,” a website featuring original source documents outlining Republican congressional candidate Richard Tisei’s close ties to his family’s web of fraud and deceit.
“There’s no disputing that the primary source documents listed on Tisei Facts show that Republican Richard Tisei was closely tied to his family’s fraudulent enterprises, and in at least one case reaped the benefits of his family's activities,” said Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair John Walsh. “If you read through these public documents, Tisei’s claim that he didn’t know what was going on just doesn’t hold water.”
Republican Richard Tisei personally benefitted by least $30,000 dollars from the sale of a house that was among the assets his parents were alleged in court to be hiding from parties they damaged.
“Tisei Facts” provides a fact-filled overview of the fraudulent and deceptive practices conducted by The Building Inspector of America (TBIA), the company owned and operated the Tisei family, and other links in the Tisei financial web, including:
- Answers to frequently asked questions about the Tisei family fraud.
- A primary source-based outline of a consistent pattern of deceptive behavior by their family company.
- Documentation of a motor vehicle accident Richard Tisei was involved in while driving a car owned by the company at the center of one major legal court case -- a company where assets were being shifted and hidden from creditors.
- Background on a Tisei family effort to avoid turning over a property to the damaged parties, including how Richard Tisei, a professional Realtor who boasts of having sold 3,000 homes and who owed $73,000 in a mortgage, claims not to know he was on title to the property.

Clearly this is just new mud (probably that they pried off of Tierney) to try and tear down Tisei, who in his 26 year career never was accused of any unethical activities. As can be read in the Patch by Bryan McGonigle, Tisei has answered every question that has come up, handing forward decades worth of ethics forms. Compare this to Tierney who refuses to disclose his outside income from his brother-in-law's illegal gambling enterprise to the House Ethics Committee. I have come to expect nothing but lies from Mass. Democrats, but does the Patch have to publish them?

The Mass Democratic Party has too much money on its hands.
A car accident isn't a disqualification from serving in Washington - just ask several Kennedy's about that. Does Mr. Tisei also leave the toilet seat up? Does he return his library books in a timely manner?

I find today's politicians an absolute embarrassment. There is no integrity to be found at the state or national level. They will say and do whatever it takes to get elected even if they appear childish and petty. I've seen Tisei park his car with the state rep plates illegally on a number of occasions at the Dunkin Donuts in Reading because there were no open spaces in the front. There were plenty of spaces on the side and across from the store, but he made his own parking spot. That provides insight into his true character to me.

Wow, he parked his car illegally! Unbelievable! Vs. a lying scumbag like Tierney he's a saint. Although I do agree with you that the state of political discourse is horrid. Just look at the crap flowing from Harry Reid's mouth and the deceitful ads from the superPacs. Embarrassing.

So I see Tisei continues to ignore our local laws. What about parking illegally in a handicapped space in downtown Wakefield? Does that count for all of you defending this imposter? As a person who NEEDS a handicapped space, after catching him doing this recently, I contacted him and asked him for a response. I received no response. Typical.
Tierney has a solid record of voting and supporting the middle class. A federal judge found that he was in no way responsible or knowledgeable about his despicable inlaws' shenanigans. Tisei, however, KNEW about his parents shady dealings and even appeared to benefit himself directly from them.
To compare this greedy egotistical entitled hypocrite to John Tierney is unbelievable. If you want more of Bush/Cheney, the War on Women, end of SS and Medicare, skyrocketing defense budgets, then Tisei is your guy. How do you think he will vote in Congress? NOT as a moderate, I can assure you.

Jackie, Do you have a picture? Any proof? Hmm. Sounds like you are a Democrat taking up the tactics of your Senate hero and leader Dirty Liar Harry Reid. Say crap and hope it sticks for a while to draw everyone's attention from the real issues.
Do you REALLY believe John didn't know Internet gambling was illegal? A US Congressman and lawyer? REALLY? I suppose you believe Teddy didn't know Mary Jo was in his car right? WOW!!!!!!

So the republicans have Tisei, but the democraps have offered voters Tierney and Warren to represent us in Washington. Tisei (and Scott Brown) might not be perfect, but at least he's not terrifying.

Obviously Richard is not equal to the Democrat Super Stars in our legislature. 26 years and never indicted? Come on Richard! Reach for that cash register er star! You have to love the hubris of a group that has had 3 consecutive House Speakers indicted, several members investigated (though it took the feds to do it since Democrat "see no evil" Marsha ignored it) and several convicted and in prison.
They should hold the next Mass. Dem. Convention in MCI Walpole so they can be inclusive!

I have known Richard Tisei for an extensive amount of years dating back to when he first became a state Representative. He fights for the children of this state. When you have issues and you place 12 + phone calls to the local Senator with no answer or call back , then you phone Richard Tisei and he calls you back within 10 minutes .. that says it right there!! HE CARES.. He is a man of warmth, caring and not afraid to stand up to what is terribly wrong in this state and in our country today. I have yet to meet any other man or woman with as much dedication as he has in his entire political as well as his business career. There is no doubt in who I am voting for.. his record speaks for itself. The slanderous dirt that I see above is lies and far fetched creations that have been so obscured by lies and so far from the truth of what this man stands for. Shameful whomever democratic system puppet did this.... Doreen

Joe: News flash: nobody cares what you think about politics. Don't you remember coming in dead last two years in a row when you ran for selectman? Too bad you didn't run this year. You could have made it three in a row. Time to face the music, Joe. You are yesterday's news. Your sphere of influence does not extend beyond your ample girth.

Who in their right mind can vote for Tierney, Warren, Bidden and Obama?? All of them are self centered, greedy, fake, untruthful, socialists!! That isn't what this country is founded on.

The Internet is a mirror of society. The political image it reflects is not one to be proud of. Both parties, Democrats and Republicans, and their followers waste time in dirty politics instead of intelligent, useful debate that actually might be the catalyst for change. Both parties are doing what is best for their party but not best for the American citizen.
Some of the foolishness that I read in the online comments section of many newspapers boil down to Republicans are the American Al Queda and that Democrats are Socialists and Communists. All are false.
So why do we have all of this political diarrhea? It's easier to complain than it is to work and find a solution to the problems that face us.
Medicare, rising healthcare costs, the economy, jobs - these are all problems that can resolve. It will take some sacrifice that will affect all of us, Democrat, Republican, Green Party, Libertarian, Unenrolled. We can solve them if we want to. The first step - we need to stop complaining and begin thinking and working together.

I think it is normal to overlook some of the personal flaws of some of the candidates who's views we share. However, I still can't help being stunned by the number of Tierney and Warren yard signs I see....often times together in th same yard! Those two have to be amongst the most embarrassing candidates in recent memory. If they represented my party or my views, I would run as far away from them as I could and just sit out the election and look forward to the next election when the candidate that I support wouldn't have flaws so serious that they deflected from what I believe. Those folks with the Tierney and Warren signs...just what do think it says to your neighbors about you judgement? Don't you realize that you will be less likely to be listened to in the future if you show yourself to be so partisan that you would still support these two deeply unethical candidates?

This may be a little off topic but Paul Ryan gives Romney a shot in the arm that nobody else could have.I have listened to Ryan speak and he is light years ahead of Biden. This is the best possible ticket to get rid of Obama and repeal Obamacare. When Romney says he did what he did for MA and does not support it for the entire country,I belive him.The country needs change and that starts at the top.
