Their eyes were wide as Odora the skunk introduced herself in the gym at the Dewing. Was this a wayward critter looking for a snack? No! It was one of the many wonderful animals presented to the preschoolers at the Dewing by Michelle DeBye, owner of Michelle's Menagerie. This informative animal presenter taught the children about turtles, snakes, rabbits, skunks, quails and more. The children were eager to raise their hands and answer questions about animals that they knew, and then delighted to learn some additional facts as well. Cornelius the Corn snake was the same color as a little boys' sneakers. The turtle had a tiny hook on his mouth (beak) which was similar to that of a bird. The children recieved coloring pages as well to enhance their learning. Michelle's Menageris was presented as an Arts and Enrichment program by the Dewing PAC and was delivered over two days to the preschool and some K-2 classes.
