Re/Max Leading Edge Royals 11 v. Mr. Guttermann's Angels 7
The Royals played strong against the Angels and came up with another win. Starting pitcher Molly Hodgson pitched 3 tough innings and made a key out to first base to stop a run. First baseman Sarah Bishop played smart and contributed to many Royal outs. Catcher Jessica Caredo showed her skills and was very tough behind the plate. Offensively the Royals continue to swing their bats with a key single from Jacqui Marchant and a home run from Catherine Butler.
Crystal Convenience Marlins 16 v. Re/Max Leading Edge Royals 15
Julia Ronan had a big base hit to help the Marlins beat the Royals by one run in a tight knit game while Taylor Brothers had a terrific triple. Jenna Wenworth, Samantha LaLonde, and Alyssa Ouelette also contributed with nice base hits. Ariana Ciancio and Lydia Joyce showed good judgment at the plate and were able to get on base multiple times. On defense for the Marlins Rachel Conway did a good job as third baseman and Katelyn Scarano provided strong play behind the plate. It was a great team effort that led to a tough win.
The Royals were edged out by the Marlins and played with a lot of determination. Pitchers Jacqui Marchant and Jessica Caredo made their pitching debuts and never gave up. Third baseman Riley Cote made some long, strong throws to firstbase for a few key outs. Left fielder Delaney Jackson was impressive in the outfield always moving to back up third base. The Royals bats were active with hits from Brigh Cote, Delaney Jackson, Molly Hodgson, Sarah Bishop and Catherine Danielle Howe also got on base, showing her quickness and smart base running.
Re/Max Leading Edge Royals 14 v. Custom Iron Craft Mets 13
In their last game of a three game week, the Royals came from behind to beat a tough Mets team. Pitchers Molly Hodgson, Delaney Jackson and Catherine Butler all put in a great effort and stayed strong on the mound. Defensively Royal's second baseman Izzy Schmidt caught a high pop fly which held the Mets back. Short stop Brigh Cote played smart covering second which kept many Mets steals from occurring. They key to the Royals' win was their hitting with singles from Brigh Cote, Delaney Jackson, Jacqui Marchant and Riley Cote. Sarah Bishop, Molly Hodgson and Catherine Butler had doubles which contributed to key RBIs.
Crystal Convenience Marlins 13 v. B & M Office Installation Rays 4
Taylor Brothers had a big double to help lead the Marlins to a 13 to 4 victory over the Devil Rays. Ariana Ciancio , Jenna Wentworth, Shannon Faria, Rachel Conway and Jula Ronan helped out the Marlins with base hits while Katelyn Scarano continued her great at bats and advanced the Marlins runners. Lydia Joyce made a great play on third base tagging a runner out and Samantha LaLonde had a nice pop fly catch at second base for a key out. Alyssa Oullette gave another strong pitching performance.
Mortgage Financial, Inc. Diamondbacks 12 v. Mr. Gutterman Angels 6
The Diamondbacks benefited from an outstanding performances in all aspects of the game to get past the Angels, 12 - 6. Sydney Quinn went the distance on the mound for the Diamondbacks, turning in an impressive 14 strikeout performance. The Diamondbacks infield backed Sydney up with some key defensive play from Erica Pantanella at shortstop and Brooke Lamothe at third base. The Diamondbacks offense was led by Brooke Lamothe's three hit, five RBI onslaught that began with a two run double in the first inning to get the scoring started. Brooke Fullerton and Helen Johnson added two hits each and combined to drive in two runs and score another. Amanda Clarke's, Brianna Haley's and Maeve Costigan's hitting has been springing to life of late and they all hit the ball extremely well on this night to contribute two more RBI and two runs scored to the Diamondbacks victory.
J&B Butcher Athletics 10 v. Silva Brothers Construction Tigers 9
The Athletics rallied in the bottom of the 6th inning to squeak out a narrow victory over a relentless Tigers team. Erika Whynot, Aly Hand, and Chelsea Grant shared the mound duty for the A’s. Eryka Gray and Lauren Barletta held the hot bats in this game. Eryka reached base in all three trips to the plate and scored two runs. Lauren
added two singles, a walk, and also scored two runs. The defense was led by Grant who turned a nifty double play in the 2nd inning from the shortstop position. Melissa Markwarth continued her stellar efforts in the outfield making a fantastic catch on a ball hit to deep center field. Nicole Petherbridge did a solid job in the catchers position with great efforts to keep the ball in front of her at all times in a very close ballgame.
Atamian VW Honda Astros 14 v. J&B Butcher Athletics 13
The A’s grabbed several leads in this game but the Astros scratched their way back on each occasion and finally walked off with a well-earned victory in a very exciting contest. Christina Keefe paced the Athletics offense with 2 singles, a double, and a whopping 6 rbis ! Meghan Arsenault ripped a double, a single, and scored two runs. Jessica Reposa stole four bases and scored two runs on two walks and a single. On defense Chelsea Grant turned her second double play in as many games. Lizzie Markwarth stole a hit away from the Astros with a fantastic catch in left field. Eryka Gray made a tremendous catch in deep center field in the bottom of the last inning.
Dovetail Construction Twins 14 v Silva Brothers Construction Tigers 11
Numerous rallies and a battle to the final out marked the Dovetail Construction Twins vs Tigers contest on May 23rd. The Twins were victorious, 14-11. Twin pitcher Teagan Trant squashed a Tiger rally in the last inning, plus she created rallies of her own, driving in four runs on a single and triple. With the score tied at 4 in the fifth, the Twins rallied for 6 runs on 5 hits with Rhiannon Delucia (single) and Molly Harrington (double) leading the charge. Top sluggers for the Twins included Cora Gagnon (3 hits) and Lauren Whelton (2 hits). The Twins were active on the base paths with Colleen MacNeil, Jade Sabbag and Sarah Benson scoring 2 runs apiece. Twin pitcher Amy Sampson held the Tigers in check for 3 innings and made key defensive plays including a nice catch. The Dovetail Construction Twins jumped out to an early lead, beating the Padres 17-5 on May 21st. Top hitters for the Twins included Miah Cummings, Andrea Doran (2 runs), Sarah Ward (2 runs) and Lauren Riccardi (RBI). Pitcher Adrianna Favreau contributed with her glove and bat (triple, 3 runs scored).
Dovetail Construction Twins 8 v. C & A Awards Orioles
The Dovetail Construction Twins, aka cardiac kids, struck again, but fell a run short in a May 31st contest vs the Orioles at Conlin Field. The final score was 8-7, with the tying Twin run left on third in the final inning. The game started out with both teams trading leads. Down 2-1, the Orioles scored 4 runs in the 4th for a 5-2 advantage. The Twins battled back with a 2 out rally in the 5th, Lead off batter Andrea Doran reached first and scored when the Twins bats erupted with 2 outs. 5 runs were scored on consecutive hits by Cora Gagnon, Adrianna Favreau, Colleen MacNeil, Rhiannon Delucia and Molly Harrington. Twin pitchers Adrianna Favreau, Lauren Whelton and Amy Sampson held the Orioles to 4 hits and were aided by good defense including a key out at third by Sarah Ward. Displaying terrific defense and pitching, the Dovetail Construction Twins jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 4-1 win in over the Astros on May 29th. Splitting the mound duties were Adrianna Favreau and Teagan Trant, limiting the Astros to 2 hits and 3 walks over 7 innings. Twins showing great glove work included catcher Molly Harrington, short stop Rhiannon Delucia, third baseman Miah Cummings and second baseman Sarah Benson. Also, Colleen MacNeil, cut an Astro rally short on a cross diamond throw to Jade Sabbag who made the putout at third. The Twins first three batters in the contest reached base and scored (Adrianna, Teagan, Colleen). That would be it for runs, except for solo runs by the Astros in the 4th and Twins in the 6th. The Twins defense did the rest, and pitcher Adrianna Favreau struck out the Astros final batter in the game with a runner on second base.

Cassidy Pereira lead the offence knocking in 3 runs, Julia Stanizzi had a hot bat going 3 for 3 , 1 RBI and a run scored. Erin Covel helped out going 3 for 3 and 1 run scored. Chistina Spezzaferro made a great play at 1st base in the 4th inningfor an unassisted put out.
