Tewksbury played solid defense holding Chelmsford to 14 points, coming away with a 58-14 win. Hounding the Chelmsford ball carriers were guards Adam Pacheco, Riley Frost, Zach Tyler and Vinny Hulme. The Eagles came out flat and slow, scoring only 6 points in the first half, but keeping things close with good defense. The energy level picked up a bit in the third quarter, after Evan McCarthy got his first basket of the year off one of his many rebounds. Cadet Division Sixers 20 Hawks 16 The Sixers had a great contribution from half of the team on scoring. Mikie Kelly led the scoring with 6 baskets, most from the outside. Also sinking shots were Adam Favreau, Dan Fleming, Corey Butler and Drew Timmons. Michael Duggan and Cole Kimtis both played strong center defense. Junior Division Mavericks over the Clippers Despite a strong effort, the Clippers fell to the Mavericks. Andrew Ferreira led the scoring for the Clippers, sinking two baskets for 4 points. Patrick Dunn and Joshua Seghrue each contributed by sinking two baskets. Strong efforts were turned in by the entire team, including Matthew Pelletier and Richard Kramer who were busy hustling at both ends of the floor. RAPTORS 26 - JAZZ 22 In their second game of the season, the Raptors came from a 10-point deficit to overcome the Jazz in overtime. The game was tied 22-22 at the end of the 4th quarter and the Raptors came out on top to win their second game of the season. The offense and defense played well with scoring from Hayden Brown (2), Chris Chiccarelli (6), Kyle Crowley (14), and Mason Brown (4). Senior Division Bobcats claw the Knicks The Bobcats pulled off an impressive upset victory in the first round of the Senior Division playoffs. Every player came to play hard and gave 100% effort to advance to the next round. Scoring was spread across the team, with no player reaching double figures proving it was complete team effort. Leading the team was Matt Famiglietti with 8 points. Patrick Leonard found his shot and aggressively put in 7 points. Senior Division Rockets defeat Lakers The Rockets were able to put 50 points up against a tough Laker team. The scoring was led by Tim Lynch (14 points), followed by John Cave (13 points), and Jack Lindsey (8 points). Senior Division Magic 34, Bobcats 33 The Magic were involved in a tight match up, the first quarter belonging to the Bobcats. Jon Zervas (3) and Matthew Gaman (4) were the only Magic scorers in the first. In the second quarter the Magic disrupted the Bobcats flow and put together a 16 point effort to lead at the half by seven. Marty Glynn(9), Tim Glynn(2), Ron Tam(3), and Bryan Tam(3) all hit the scoreboard. The third qtr gave a slight edge to the Bobcats who closed to within six at the end of three. The boys really showed what they learned in practice as the last time these two teams matched up, Wilmington managed an easy win. But it wasn't as easy the second time around as the team has shone great improvement. This time the boys had great movement on offense setting picks and finding the open man. On defense Tewksbury was able to transition to defense rapidly, thus preventing any attempt at a fast break and played a much better man to man defense than in previous games.
