Tewksbury Bo’s U15 - Team 1 experienced a close lose in their final game of the regular season. They lost to Dracut in the fourth quarter by a score of 11 (Tewksbury) to 13 (Dracut). Their regular season finished with a winning record of 4 wins and 3 losses in the Patriot Youth Lacrosse League (PYLL), and 6 and 4 including tournament play. U11 Boys Tewksbury - 2 (13) vs. Dracut (12) The Tewksbury BU11-2 played an away game vs Dracut. Tewksbury came away with a 13 – 12 sudden death overtime win. Trailing by 4 goals at half time and by only 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter, the defense stepped up along with great goal tending by Nicholas Brooks to hold Dracut to only 3 second half scores. The offense cranked it up in the second half by scoring 7 goals in regulation and the game winner in OT. …

U11 Boys Tewksbury - 2 vs. Groton-Dunstable (GD) - 2 The Tewksbury BU11-2 played a home game vs the GD-2 team on a very wet day at Livingston Park Fields. GD-2 won the game by a score of 16 – 8. The boys were playing GD-2 very close through the midpoint of the 2nd quarter where the game was tied at 6. The GD-2 offense cranked it up by outscoring the kids 12 – 2 to close out the game. Tewksbury Boys U13 -1 The Tewksbury Boys Lacrosse U13-1 played three games in the Patriot Lacrosse League Mid-season tournament, and finished with one win, one tie, and one loss. The team beat a very skilled N. Middlesex team 2-1 with strong goal tending by Jamesie Cash and goals by Jimmy Strickler and Kevin Carta. The second game was a back and forth scoring contest against powerhouse Groton-Dunstable resulting in a 6 -6 tie. Tewksbury Boys U13 -1 (10), Dracut U13 (4) The Tewksbury Boys Lacrosse U13-1 put on a second dominating performance in as many games, in this young season. The opponent this week was Dracut with the local boys coming out on top 10 -4. Putting forward an impressive performance in goal was Patrick Hunt who was backed up by a strong defensive trio of Kevin Carta, JP Mooney, and Ben Connors. They stepped up to the challenge with some regular defensive players missing from the game and kept Dracut’s results to a minimum. Tewksbury U-15 Girls Lacrosse team started their 2011 lacrosse season against a very tough & tested Tyngsboro team and showed they have the grit to make this a great season. Tewksbury Boys U-11- 1 vs. Arlington -2 Tewksbury-1 opened the 2011 season with a strong showing against Arlington-2. The two evenly-matched teams faced off in wonderful weather at Arlington High School. Tewksbury opened the game with an early goal, but Arlington answered quickly. The lead changed hands multiple times during the game and ultimately ended in a hard-fought 9-9 tie.
