Every Monday, We will publish a look ahead at the municipal meetings scheduled that week and take a brief look at the items on their agendas.
As Christmas and New Year's draw near, it is a slwo week on the municipal meeting front. The only board scheduled to meet this week is the Board of Selectmen, which will convene Tuesday at 7:30 in the auditorium at Town Hall. Among the items on the agenda will be an appearance by outgoing state Sen. Susan Tucker, D-Andover. In addition, Elizabeth Carey, chairwoman of the Special Act Charter Commission, will provide an update to the board and will present a framework of her committee's recommendations. A couple of late changes have been made to the municipal meeting schedule this week. Both have to do with the Board of Health. The Board of Health subcommittee Resients Advisory Group meeting, which had been scheduled for Wednesday night, has been rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Tewksbury Public Library. The regular Board of Health meeting that had been scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 18, has been cancelled entirely. The Board of Health is not scheduled, at this time, to meet again until Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium.

Tuesday, Oct. 12 Green Committee 6:15 p.m., Historical Room, Tewksbury Public Library, 300 Chandler St. The Green Committee will be looking to regroup after a stinging defeat at the Special Town Meeting. Committee Chairwoman Anne Marie Stronach has said the battle to establish Tewksbury is not over despite the fact that the Stretch Energy Code, one of the five criteria required, was defeated. The committee will discuss that vote and the steps needed to reintroduce the measure at the spring Town Meeting.
