The Play! Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) City Championship tournament is a free-to-play event that provides Pokémon players the opportunity to compete in the Play! Pokémon Series and enjoy the skill, strategy and, fun with other Pokémon TCG players.
As an officially sanctioned event in the 2011-2012 Play! Pokémon Series, players in three organized play age divisions will compete at Batter Up Cards & Comics to earn Championship Points that go towards a potential invitation to the 2012 Pokémon World Championships next August in Hawaii. Additionally, competitors are vying for the prestigious title of Pokémon City Champion. The Pokémon Trading Card Game City Championship tournament is a free event for all participants and fans.
