Tewksbury Special Town Meeting, a Breakdown of Warrant Articles and More

Happy October, Tewksbury. Here are five things to start your day on Oct. 1.


1. Your 3-day Local Forecast:

  • According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will be sunny, with a high near 77. Expect a calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.
  • Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 55. Expect a light and variable wind becoming west around 6 mph after midnight.
  • Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 85. Expect a west wind from 6 to 13 mph.
  • Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 54. Expect a west wind from 6 to 8 mph.
  • Thursday will be sunny, with a high near 80.
  • Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 52.

3. Special Town Meeting: Special Town Meeting will be held at Tewksbury Memorial High School at 7 p.m. You can view the warrant here.  Before Special Town Meeting, several town boards are holding meetings:

School Committee will meet at 6 p.m. in the Tewksbury Memorial High School Main Office-Meeting Room 2. You can view the agenda here. 

Board of Selectmen will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Tewksbury Memorial High School. You can view the agenda here.

Finance Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Tewksbury Memorial High School library. You can view the agenda here.

5. ICYMI: In case you missed it, Tewksbury selectmen Scott Wilson, Doug Sears and Jim Wentworth met with selectmen from Dracut and Andover on Saturday for perambulation, part of Massachusetts State Law which requires town officials to check on town lines.
