Local Theatres Compete in 58th Annual Drama Festival

On June 28 and 29, the Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres (EMACT) will hold its 58th Drama Festival at the Christine McGrath Performing Arts Center at Tewksbury Memorial High School (320 Pleasant Street, Tewksbury, MA 01876). Two competing theatre groups will be selected to advance to the New England regional and possibly US national festivals in 2015. Last year, The Burlington Players won Best Production at the national American Association of Community Theatres competition in Indiana.  This year's Massachusetts celebration of theatre will feature the Hovey Players of Waltham, The Lexington Players, The Nashoba Players of Westford, Quannapowitt Players of Reading and Theatre Company of Saugus. More information and tickets are available online at bit.ly/EMACT2014 or www.emact.org
