Tewksbury Beautification Committee Presents Weeds and Invasive Plants Program at the Tewksbury Public Library

Ted Elliman, Botanist for the New England Wild Flower Society, will be presenting a program titled “ Weeds and Invasive Plants in Our Landscapes” on Saturday, April 19, 2014, from10:00am-12noon at the Tewksbury Public Library. The discussion will also cover some new invaders, known as early detection species, that in recent years have been spreading quickly in Massachusetts. Look-alike species which can be confused with invasives will also be covered. This discussion is free to the public and is sponsored by the Tewksbury Beautification Committee through a grant from the Tewksbury Cultural Council. Mr. Elliman supervises field work and teaches classes on Native Plant Conservation, Invasive Plants/Shrubs in New England, and is currently completing his book, an updated Field Guide of New England Plants
