Tewksbury Clean Up Day sponsored by the Beautification Committee

Tired of trash? The Tewksbury Beautification Committee is pleased to announce its First Annual “Clean Up Tewksbury” Day on Saturday, June 28, 2014, from 10:00AM-2:00PM. Grab some friends, make a team and tackle one of the eyesores in town. Participants must pre-register at http://goo.gl/QZJ9ak or by emailing Clean.Up.Tewksbury@gmail.com. Team captains should check in at the tent at the Tewksbury Country Club to get their supplies starting at 10:00AM on the day of the event. Everyone who participates will be entered to win prizes donated by generous Tewksbury merchants such as Merrimack Valley Pavilion.

Dan Elliman, Vice Chairperson of the Committee, is looking forward to the event.” This is a chance for people to really get out and show their pride in the town. We know that litter is an issue, and with this team approach we can really make a dent.” “We’re inviting all Tewksbury civic groups to have a team” adds Jackie Stone, Committee Chairperson. “We’d love to see businesses, sports teams, school groups, scouts and neighborhood groups participate.” Teams can pick a site, deploy for an hour or more, and will be provided trash bags, gloves, safety vests, safety cones and pick sticks to help in the effort. For more information and to get involved, contact Dan Elliman at Clean.Up.Tewksbury@gmail.com.
