Boston Post Cane Presentation Held For Tewksbury Resident

101-year-old Tewksbury resident Anna Ippolito was honored with a presentation of the Boston Post Cane at the Tewksbury Public Library on Saturday.

Earlier this year, on her 101st birthday, Tewksbury resident Anna Ippolito was honored as the most recent recipient of Tewksbury's Boston Post Cane as the town's oldest resident.

On Saturday, Ippolito attended a presentation at the Tewksbury Public Library to handle the actual Boston Post Cane as well as view the case where the cane is mounted.

On her birthday, Ippolito was presented with a mounted replica of the Boston Post Cane she keeps.

Ken Mouser of the Tewksbury Historical Society presided over the presentation, which was attended by members of Ippolito's family, the Tewksbury Board of Selectmen, Tewksbury Chapter of the Sons of Italy and Tewksbury Historical Society.

The Sons of Italy presented Anna and her family with a gift certificate to Cafe Sicilia in Tewksbury.
