'Cole's Hope' Fundraiser Will Help Tewksbury Boy With Cancer

A fundraising event is scheduled for Friday at the Knights of Columbus for four-year-old Cole Moniz.

Cole Moniz's infectious smile was on full display recently when he was given a donation by Cops for Kids With Cancer. This week, residents can do their part to help keep that smile on Cole's face.

Moniz was diagnosed with B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in December, and on Friday a fundraiser called "Cole's Hope" will take place to benefit the young Tewksbury resident.

The four-year-old is a student at the Loella F. Dwelling School in Tewksbury, and is currently under treatment at Tufts Medical Center.

"The Moniz family is strong and amazing, but they need everyone's support during this tough time," a flyer for the Cole's Hope event said. "My hope is that our community can come together to help raise donations for the Moniz's fundraiser."

There is a $10 admission cost for the event, which will include food, a DJ, a bar, raffles and auctions. The fundraiser will take place inside Knights of Columbus on Main Street.
