First Tropical Storm of Season May Move Up East Coast on July 4

The loud noises from above might not be fireworks on the Fourth of July, but thunder from the season’s first tropical storm.

Forecasters are predicting that there is a strong possibility that a weather system may turn into a tropical storm over the next five days. They expect the system will move up the east coast at the end of this week.

It’s still too early to tell whether it will become a tropical storm and the exact path, but 7News’ Chris Lambert is predicting “the threat of a high impact event (for New England) is low.”
