There are times when residents hear a noise and can't help but wondering where it's coming from. For some South Tewksbury residents, that's happening more than once in a while.
One Patch reader wants to know. Have you heard the South Tewksbury booms?
"Does anyone know the source of the boom sounds heard day and night, for months now, in South Tewksbury?," the Tewksbury Patch reader wrote, asking her fellow residents to weigh in. "They tend to come at half hour intervals and in a series of two or three booms at a time. They were very audible (earlier this week) including at 3 a.m."
We asked around a bit on Wednesday, but as of yet have not been able to track down a specific answer to the reader's question.
So we want you to help weigh in and get to the bottom of the boom.
Do you live in South Tewksbury, and have you heard this noise? Do you have any ideas where the noise may be coming from?
