How to Obtain Your 2014 Dog License in Tewksbury

The license is valid for one calendar year, and must be renewed annually.




The following was submitted by Tewksbury Town Clerk Denise Graffeo:

Tewksbury Town Clerk, Denise Graffeo, reminds dog owners that the year 2013 Dog License expires December 31, 2013.

It is that time of the year when all dogs (6 months of age or over) must be licensed. The license is valid for one calendar year, and must be renewed annually. Licensing fees are as follows:

Spayed or Neutered: 

  • Jan. 1 - March 15: $15
  • March 16 – July 1: $20
  • July 2 – Dec. 31: $30
Not Spayed or Neutered:
  • Jan. 1 - March 15: $20
  • March 16 – July 1: $25
  • July 2 – Dec. 31: $35
A dog owner applying for a license shall be obligated to pay all outstanding dog license fees relating to the past licensing period and any outstanding violation notices. A current Rabies Certificate as well as a Certificate of Spaying or Neutering must be presented before a dog license may be issued, unless currently on file in this office.

Please be reminded that the Town Clerk’s Office has relocated to 464 Main St. (the old Hardy-Pike House) on a temporary basis while Town Hall is under renovation. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For your convenience, you may prefer to license your dog by mail. If licensing by mail, please include:
              • License Fee
              • Current Rabies Certificate (unless currently on file)
              • Certificate of Spaying or Neutering, if applicable (unless currently on                 file)
               • A self-addressed stamped envelope
