The Council on Aging is now assisting Tewksbury Senior Citizen residents with Fuel Assistance applications.  Seniors may call Jan or Linda at 978-640-4482 to arrange an appointment and find out what information one needs to bring with them when applying.   Some of the household income eligibility guidelines for fuel assistance are as follows:  1 person $32,065;   2 people $41,932;  3 people $51,798;   4 people $61,664.  Information on larger families and the eligible incomes is posted at the Senior Center and is also available from CTI.  Younger families may call Community Teamwork (CTI) at 978-459-6161 for information on how and where to apply.

The COA will begin taking names of those Senior Citizens who wish to have our AARP Volunteers assist them with tax returns.  However, one should take note that appointments will not be scheduled until mid to late February due to the “government shutdown” this past fall.

Merry Christmas.   God Bless America.
