Tewksbury Race Will Benefit Wounded Warrior Project

The event is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend in Tewksbury.

Walk the 5k course or run it. Either way, it's for a good cause.

Tewksbury Country Club is hosting a 5k Fun-Run-Walk charity event on May 26, with 100 percent of proceeds going to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

The run/walk will take place throughout the golf course at Tewksbury Country Club, and the event is designed for participants of all ages.

Check-in will start at 7 a.m. on race day, with the starting gun at 8 a.m. A minimum pledge fee of $25 is required for registrants.

Registration fee includes a Wounded Warrior Project bracelet, a race t-shirt, water and snacks, and prizes for the top finishers on the day.

Sponsorship opportunities are also still available for the race. For $500 businesses can receive their logo on the back of the race shirt, their logo on a banner, and a thank you letter.

Businesses pledging $250 receive their logo on the banner and the thank you letter, while anyone who pledges $100 receives a thank you letter.

Registration, pledges, donations and sponsorship can be made by visiting www.tewksburycc.com and clicking the 5k Fun Run section, or by calling Kathleen Bligh at (978) 640-0033, Ext. 12.
