Snow from the previous storms in Tewksbury have now been cleared from the streets, but winter continues to take it's toll throughout the town even when the white stuff isn't falling anymore.

As is the case every year, potholes are cropping up on roads throughout New England. But where are the worst in Tewksbury? We asked our readers on Facebook, and here is a round up of some of their answers.

Katie Waite: Foster Road has been a nightmare the past week.

Kristen Capriotti: Getting off 93s at exit 42. Specifically the area where you turn right onto East St. Always a huge hole there!

Nicole Rabideau Veno: Foster RD - they seemed to have tried to fix them! Just Mickey Moused it! They did road work near Tewksbury Connivence last week and the way the repaired the street where they dug is so BAD!

Kelly Ciampa: Foster but looks like they attempted to fix them. That whole road is still awful.

Donna E. King: Trull Rd.

Jenn Peffers: State St. is wicked bad! I wish they would do the whole rd over instead of patching it. And Whipple Rd.

Joy Johnson Menard: State St.

Jaclynn Brown: East Street at Shawsheen has so many divots, it makes it hard to stop at the stop sign! Dangerous! That whole intersection from the Dunkins drive thru with 7-11 up through the intersection needs to be replaced, and repaved, not just holes fixed!

Christine Lopolito: State Street.

Foster Road is too damaged to be from expected wear and tear. Whomever did the work on Foster Rd. should be called back in to reconstruct what they did not do right the first time. I assume this work was contracted out. It is obvious that where the road fallen apart is the same area where work was recently performed. The road was not built back properly. This area needs immediate attention at the cost of the contractor.

There is always a bad one on RT 133 near Hood Road. You can't see it in the dark and you can't avoid it. I was waiting for my tire to go flat. Why do they fill the pot hole but don't smooth it out? You end up with mounds in the road.

Jenn is right! Just resurface State St from end to end. It is one of the most heavily used shortcuts in town

Foster rd by far is the worst street I've been on it rivals with lawerence ma roads in potholes and vehicle damaging holes in the road and also shawsheen before the intersection of main st I've seen people almost go head on into another trying to avoid the holes

I'm going with Foster Rd between Shawsheen Street and Term Terrace. Brown has a big hole as well...or at least did.

Vernon Street has not only potholes but sinking manhole covers. The buses make a big thud when they hit them coming down the street. They have been fixed several times (just filled in with blacktop) but it never holds more then a couple of weeks. This is a very dangerous situation.

Fixing potholes this time of year is just a waste of time & $. Wait until the frost is out of the ground then you can spend your chapter 90 funds.

Main St., right in the center of town, northbound side by the Mobil gas station and the welcome home troops sign

Clark Street on the side of Market Basket by the sports field.

The one on 38 south near 495. It cost me $600+. Need a new rim and tire.
