PHOTOS: 25th Annual Applefest A Huge Success

Thousands turned out to enjoy the biggest Applefest in the event's 25-year history.

(Editor's note: The following information was submitted by the Applefest Craft Fair Committee.)

The 25th Annual AppleFest Craft Fair was an enormous success!  Thank you to all who attended this year.  Some of you may have wanted to see the new high school for the first time, while others were faithful returnees.  We hope that you all found this to be such a great experience that you will make this shopping event the place to be year-after-year.

Celebrating our milestone “silver anniversary” in our new school was the “icing on our cake”!  Thank you to Debbie Riparo who donated her time to make two beyond-amazing cakes for our celebration!

All of our crafters are exceptional and unique – we are proud that you chose to participate in our fair and look forward to seeing you again next year!  They were especially grateful (as were we) for all the volunteers consisting of students, sports teams, club members, etc. that helped them unload their vehicles and then helped them re-load at the end of the day.  We all know that the parking situation this year, due to the ongoing construction, proved to be a great obstacle.  This was only overcome with lots of helping hands and great traffic directors!

Our new cafeteria was quite a hit also – Donna Lizotte and Joanne Foley of All Night Long did a superb job!  The food was fantastic!  Thanks to Carol of TMHS food services, her homemade apple crisp was, once again, a favorite!
