The Rock Wants You -- For His New Reality Series

Open casting call in Boston will screen for contestants to compete on Dwayne Johnson's new series to be broadcast on TNT.

Actor/wrestler Dwayne Johnson, better known by some fans as "The Rock" is producing a new action-adventure reality show and he is looking for contestants from the Greater Boston area.

 The show will be called "The Hero" and will give contestants the chance to win hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money.

Casting for the new series is happening on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Jillians, 3 Lansdowne in Boston. You must bring a current photo to the casting call and you must be 21 as of January 2013.

In a press release, show publicists described the type of contestants who would be well suited for "The Hero."

The show is not necessarily looking for the fittest or the fastest. They are looking for everyday people who are ready to prove themselves in the physical and mental adventure of a lifetime. Be ready to embark on a journey in an exotic location that will challenge your brains, brawn, moral decisions, motives and competitive spirit.

Competitors on the show will be challenged mentally and physically to prove they have what it takes to be heroes or villains. They will be pushed to the limits to see what they are willing, and able, to overcome, undergo and sacrifice for the sake of their fellow contestants or for themselves, plus a chance to win a very substantial cash prize!
