When Is The First Day of School in Tewksbury?

Although it feels like summer just kicked off, it's already time to start about thinking the upcoming school year, so in this week's installment of are "You Ask, Patch Answers" column, we're taking a look at when the first day of school is in Tewksbury.

According to the Tewksbury Public Schools website, the first day of school for Tewksbury students is Wednesday, Aug. 28. 

Professional development days, without students in the classrooms, will happen Monday, Aug. 26 and Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Here are some more important dates over the upcoming school year in Tewksbury :

  • Schools will be closed Friday, Aug. 30. 
  • Schools will be closed Monday, Sept. 2.
  • Schools will be closed Monday, Oct. 14.
  • There will be a half day for students and a professional development day for teachers on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
  • Schools will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11.
  • There will be a half day on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
  • Schools will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28.
  • Schools will be closed on Friday, Nov. 29.
  • There will be a half day for students and a professional development day for teachers on Thursday, Dec. 5.
  • Schools will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Jan. 1.
