One Ten Grill Opens And More Nearby Food News

We know Tewksbury residents don’t just stay in town when they want a night out and a break from cooking. 

Restaurant coming and goings, new business and the best dishes and recipes are among the items that have appeared on Patch sites around the region over the past month.

Below is a look at the restaurant and food stories covered in the past month.

WILMINGTON

Royal Dynasty will soon have a new owner and a new name. After closing its doors for at least one month, the Wilmington Chinese restaurant will have a new look as well.

During Monday night’s Board of Selectmen meeting, Victor Hui, the president of Pacific Sunshine, requested a transfer of the all-liquor license for the business that is currently known as Royal Dynasty.

Initial Results Are Heav'nly for Wilmington's Newest Business

Heav’nly Donuts got off to a fast start in Wilmington. But the town’s newest coffee shop may just be starting to rev up its engine.

“So far it’s been a great start. There are a lot of kinks to work out when you’re bringing a fresh business to town,” said Renny Schofield, who opened the Main Street location on August 20. “Right now we’re getting very close to firing on all eight cylinders.”

CHELMSFORD

One Ten Grill Opens for Business

Chelmsford Street’s newest eatery is here, as Café Madrid officially became the One Ten Grill on Friday.

After years of serving Spanish cuisine, the eatery was sold to local restaurateur John Gailey recently, the latest restaurant in a string that he has owned stretching from Boston to Santa Barbara.

ANDOVER

A true football fan, Spiro Pappadopoulos, of the family-owned  was inspired to open a burger and wings place in Andover after hosting a Super Bowl party last winter.

“A friend of mine from Boston wanted wings, and I told him there wasn’t anywhere in Andover to get them,” he explained.

Salvatore's to Open in Early November

Salvatore's Restaraunt received both their liquor license and common victuallers license from the Board of Selectmen and Peter Ackerman, who will be the manager of the restaurant, told the board that they hope to open within the first two weeks of November.

The restaurant will located in the former Rugged Bear location at 34 Park St. The Andover location will be the fifth Salvatore's Restaurant to open in the Boston area. Salvatore's operates establishments in Boston's Theatre District, Boston's Waterfront, Medford Square and Lawrence.
