What's the Next Business You'd Like to See in Tewksbury?

With news that an entertainment complex will be built where Motel Caswell is, we want to know what the next to come to town should be.

There was major news this week on the Tewksbury business front and residents had a wide range of reactions to the news that an agreement has been reached to purchase Motel Caswell and turn the land into an entertainment complex.

"What AWESOME news!," SD From T-Bury commented on the Patch story. "This is exactly something the town needs and will be a breath of fresh air on Rte. 38."

That sentiment was echoed by many readers who were excited about a new business venture at a location that has previously been at the center of controversy.

But the reaction to Tuesday's news wasn't completely positive from Patch readers, as a few had concerns despite the majority expressing approval for the plans.

"Just what this town needs MORE TRAFFIC!!!," wrote RedmenWarPath. "You guys have got to be kidding me with these comments? How can you own a motor vehicle and be excited for this?"

So with a new business on its way to Tewksbury, it got us to thinking.

What do you think the next business to open in Tewksbury should be, and where should it go? What is the town lacking on the business front that there is a need for? If Wamesit Lanes opens and finds success, do you think it will encourage other businesses to come to Tewksbury? Let us know in the comments section below.

I would like to see some kind of technology park in the town. High salaried people tend to spend more. And if they like us, may be they would bring our real-estate up. Next best for me would be : Fresh city, Khols, Starbucks, Panera.

A David's Bridal might be a good complement to the TCC. Maybe a driving range across from TCC (is there enough space? anything to fill the FunLand space!!). HomeGoods seemed to do well here, it would be nice to have something like that back. I like the idea of clothing store(s) and pharma/technology businesses as well. I think a hotel with an indoor water park like Coco Key or Great Wolf Lodge would be a great draw. A Barnes and Noble with a Starbuck's would be nice also or a Barefoot Books for kids.

Oooh I second Fresh City, even though I wouldn't want it to put Pushcart under. Chipotle/Qdoba? Or an Ulta store?

Unfortunately we'll get a couple more smoke shops and a tatoo parlor or two
