It's in the Cards for Bradley Denis

10-year-old places third at regional Pokemon Tournament.

"Whiz Kids" is a weekly column featuring individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even teams, who wow us with their accomplishments. This week, we feature Bradley Denis, who proves that being a card shark can have nothing to do with diamonds, clubs and aces.

Bradley Denis, 10

Accomplishment: Bradley put his Pokémon trading card skills to the test on Saturday, April 16 during the Play! Pokémon Trading Card Game Regional (TCG) Tournament in Natick. After a full day of battling many fellow Pokémon TGC players, Bradley placed third.

Keys to Awesomeness: Bradley had to use keen wits and quick thinking to succeed at an intellectual competition. He displayed his Pokémon skills, strategy, and creativity.

NOMINATE SOMEONE YOU KNOW TO BE OUR NEXT PATCH WHIZ KID!

Know a great kid who made Eagle Scout or did your local soccer team take the championship? How about a young child who helps mom or dad out around the house or shovelled the driveway? They could be our next Patch Whiz Kid honoree.

Each week, Tewksbury Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual  kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid.  Submit your nomination in our comment box below or e-mail the information to williamg@patch.com.
