News Nearby: Local Pediatrician Arrested For Child Porn

Andover resident Dr. Richard Keller, a 59-year-old who worked as the Phillips Academy medical director for 19 years, was charged today for receipt of child pornography in Boston's federal court Thursday.

Keller allegedly received films of minors engaging in sexually explicit behavior. According to a press release, Keller purchased over 50 DVDs of child pornography.

Wilmington

Royal Dynasty will soon have a new owner and a new name. After closing its doors for at least one month, the Wilmington Chinese restaurant will have a new look as well.

During Monday night’s Board of Selectmen meeting, Victor Hui, the president of Pacific Sunshine, requested a transfer of the all-liquor license for the business that is currently known as Royal Dynasty.

Hui said once the purchase of the E. Lowell Street business is completed, he will close down for between one and two months. While the restaurant is closed, Hui plans to renovate the shape of the bar and also install a sushi bar in addition to cleaning the facility.

North Reading/Reading

The Reading School Committee has set the wheels in motion to begin to provide free, full-day kindergarten for all Reading kindergartners. The committee voted 6-0 Monday to direct school administrators to begin that process.

Somerville

A landscaping dispute gone wrong led one man to swing his weed whacker at a neighbor, injuring a woman, according to allegations in a Somerville police report.

The injured woman's husband threw a beer bottle at the weed-whacker-wielder before chasing the man down the street with help from two other men, according to more allegations from the report.
