PHOTOS: Hundreds of Children Enjoy Safe Halloween

All kinds of spooky fun was had by hundreds of children who turned out at Saunders Recreation Complex on Oct. 28 for Safe Halloween.

Hundreds of children were on hand Sunday to enjoy the festivities of Safe Halloween, a festival hosted each year by the Tewksbury Police Department at the in coorperation with the School Department's Community Services Department.

From photo ops with Police K9 Geox, to playing on several different types of vehicles, there was plenty of fun activities for the kids to take part in.

But the highlight of the day, as it always is, was the costume contest! Superheroes were big again this year, as were various types of ghouls and monsters. The top two prizes were awarded to John Nowell and Kavya Adabala.
