Blizzard Watch Issued -- Nor'Easter Could Bring More Than 2 Feet of Snow

The state and national news networks all agree on one thing, there is a storm coming to town for Friday and Saturday.

What they don't agree on is how much snowfall Tewksbury is going to see. at 3:30 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a Blizzard Watch for the region, starting Friday morning and continuing through Saturday afternoon.

As of Wednesday at 3 p.m., WCVB Ch. 5 was using a projection that called for more than two feet of nsow to bury the Merrimack Valley.

A report from Jim Arnold, weather specialist with the Shrewsbury Management Agency, said the storm will likely begin Thursday and could leave 10 to 15 inches across the area.

The Weather Channel said the storm will likely peak Friday night around 10 p.m. They are focusing on two very different possibilities, one that could dump nearly 2 feet in the Boston area, the other showing less than 3 inches.

Fox25 is keeping their estimate in the middle. "The heaviest snow band could produce over a foot of snow here.”
