Covidien Wellness Walk Returns to TPC Boston for Second Annual Deutsche Bank Championship Fundraiser

The Deutsche Bank Championship will once again host the Covidien Wellness Walk at TPC Boston on Tuesday, August 27, at 5:30 p.m. The event, which promotes healthy lifestyles and provides education and awareness of diabetes, will give participants an up-close look at the front nine holes of TPC Boston, just hours before the world’s top 100 golfers tee-off in the second event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Proceeds from the Walk will once again benefit Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, the world's preeminent diabetes research and clinical care institution.

Covidien is a leading global provider of healthcare products and presenting partner of the Walk through COVIDIEN CARES. The Company’s relationship with the Deutsche Bank Championship began in 2011, when the two organizations partnered to promote community wellness activities through special programming.

Proceeds from the Walk will be raised through registration fees of $25 per adult ($30 after August 20) and other donations, and children 15 years and younger can walk for free with a registered adult. Participants can register at www.dbchampionship.com/walk and will receive:

• Entry to participate in the Covidien Wellness Walk
• A Good-Any-One-Day grounds ticket to the 2013 Deutsche Bank Championship
• Commemorative Covidien Wellness Walk gifts (first 300 registered walkers)
• A 15% off coupon for your next Marathon Sports purchase

All walkers must park at the Comcast Center (885 S. Main Street, Mansfield, MA), located next to TPC Boston. Shuttle services will begin from the Comcast Center Parking Lot at 4:30 p.m.
