Lowell resident to star in Broadway classic "CABARET"

Moonstruck Theater Company is pleased to present the Tony award winning CABARET, opening Friday, July 19, and running for four performances through July 21. Performances take place at West Boylston Junior-Senior High School, 125 Crescent St., West Boylston, MA.

Take your seat at the Kit Kat Klub, the perfectly marvelous cabaret, where singer Sally Bowles meets writer Cliff Bradshaw. As the two pursue a life of pleasure in Weimar Berlin, the world outside the Klub begins to splinter. Sally and Cliff are faced with a choice: abandon themselves to the pleasures promised by the cabaret, or open their eyes and face the coming storm. Immortalized on film by Liza Minelli and Joel Grey, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff, CABARET is a theatrical experience like few others.

The production features 18 performers from the Boston and MetroWest regions, including Stacy Kadesch, of Lowell, as Texas, the only American dancer at the notorious Kit Kat Club. “Cabaret has always been on my ‘bucket list’ of shows and I've loved working with this group - it's been an awesome time all around,” says Stacy. “We're creating some serious social commentary with a high quality, emotional performance.” Stacy works at Grasshopper, a Needham-based company. “My job is to make people feel happy while they're at the office. I'm a part of the ‘Happiness at Work’ movement, and it's a great way to get people at their best.”
