MCC's International Film Series Concludes with 'Ai WeiWei: Never Sorry'

MCC’s 2013-14 International Film Series
concludes with a free screening of “Ai
WeiWei: Never Sorry,”
at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in MCC’s Federal
Building Assembly Room, 50 Kearney Square, on the Lowell campus. Free and open
to the public, the program begins with light refreshments and concludes with a
post-screening discussion.

Ai WeiWei is China’s
most famous international artist, and its most outspoken domestic critic. “Ai
WeiWei: Never Sorry” is the inside story of a dissident for the digital age who
inspires global audiences and blurs the boundaries of art and politics.
First-time director Alison Klayman gained unprecedented access to Ai wile
working as a journalist in China. Her detailed portrait provides a nuanced
exploration of contemporary China and one of its most compelling public
figures.
