Free Community Presentation

First Parish Billerica

7 Concord Road (on the common)

www.uubillerica.com

This is a free Community Presentation that is open to the public with
a special welcome to veterans, their families and friends and anyone who cares
to understand more about the needs of returning vets and the issues they face
such as PTSD and depression wh. It is also about
preventing suicide and support resources that are available.

Kevin and Joyce Lucey are our guest speakers. They are the parents of a
young marine, Lance Corporal Jeffery Lucey who suffered from PTSD after he came
home from Iraq and took his own life in 2004. They have reached out to other
military families for 9 years and spoken out as advocates for better supports
for veterans. Their efforts contributed to the creation of the Statewide
Advocacy for Veterans' Empowerment (SAVE) program
which now provides such
supports and resources out in the community.  Ashley Eisnor, a Navy
veteran and member of the SAVE Team will speak about that program.

Free and open to public - Disability accessible - Child care provided and light
refreshments.
