Recipe Swap: Thanksgiving Drinks

Your Merrimack Valley neighbors have provided easy drink recipes to serve on Thanksgiving.

As part of the Merrimack Valley Recipe Swap, your neighbors and fellow Patch readers have provided easy drink recipes to try this Thanksgiving and throughout the holiday season.

A reminder: These drinks should only be consumed by responsible adults over 21-years-old. Do not drink and drive.


Rum Punch

Combine over ice in a punch bowl:

1 quart orange juice

6 oz. lime juice

1 quart club soda

1 quart unsweetened pineapple juice

add one 750 ml. white or gold label rum


Caramel Apple Martini

Provided by Katie Curley-Katzman

2 parts Schnapps, butterscotch

2 parts Sour Apple Pucker

1 part Vodka

Mixing Instructions

Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.


Pumpkin Pie Martini

Provided by Katie Curley-Katzman


2 ounces (1/4 cup) vanilla vodka

2 ounces (1/4 cup) crème de cacao

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Whipped cream, for garnish


Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add the vanilla vodka, crème de cacao, heavy cream and pumpkin pie spice and shake well.

Dip the rims of 2 martini glasses into a bowl of whipped cream. Strain the cocktail into the glasses.

Mimosa This one's a brunch classic. Increase the flavor by using a 1:5 ratio of freshly-squeezed orange juice to Champagne. Then add a splash of triple sec. French 75 a splash of simple syrup, a bigger splash of lemon juice, an even bigger splash (about an ounce) of gin, topped off with a glassful of Champagne
