Where to Donate Food in Tewksbury This Holiday Season

When it comes to serving meals to those in need here in Tewksbury, few groups come to mind more quickly than the Tewksbury Community Pantry.

The Tewksbury Community Pantry provides short and long-term food assistance to Tewksbury residents in financial need and to people who are referred to the Pantry by Tewksbury clergy and the town clerk's office. Confidential assistance is given to everyone who receives food from the Pantry.

If you're interested in donating, here are a few ways you can donate to help the Tewksbury Community Pantry this holiday season.

  • Throughout the month of November, drop off all non-perishable food items at Eastern Bank, Lowell Five, Enterprise Bank or Metro Credit Union to participate in the first annual "Battle of the Banks." All proceeds are donated to the Tewksbury Community Pantry.
  • Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt at 345 Main St. in Tewksbury is running a campaign to collect food donations for Tewksbury Community Pantry during the week of Dec. 2. Any donations to Orange Leaf are greatly appreciated.
  • You can make an online donation to the Tewksbury Community Pantry here
  • You can make a tax deductible donation made out and sent to Tewksbury Community Pantry, Inc., 999 Whipple Road Tewksbury, MA 01876.
If you're interested in donating food or other items to the Tewksbury Community Pantry, the following donations are welcome:
  • All canned goods
  • Dish and laundry soap
  • Peanut Butter, jelly, jam*
  • Soap, shampoo, disposable Razors
  • Cold and hot cereals, pancake mix
  • Tissues, napkins, paper towels
  • Pasta
  • Toilet Tissue
  • Canned or dry milk
  • Trash bags
  • Coffee, tea, cocoa, juices
  • Foil and plastic bags
  • Flour, sugar, oil, baking mixes
  • Paper plates and plastic ware
  • Olives, pickles, sauces, gravies
  • Toothpaste
  • Sugar-free products
  • Mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, relish
