Lyons Continues Signature Push to Tank the Automatic Gas Tax

This Saturday, State Representative Jim Lyons, in conjunction with North Andover GOP Chair CJ Gangi, will be continuing efforts to gather signatures for the initiative petition to Repeal the Automatic Gas Tax Increase, which Governor Patrick signed into law over the summer (http://www.tankthegastax.org/).

“Our thanks go out to the dedicated volunteers who have already joined us at locations across the Merrimack Valley to help with this effort. Fuel prices are high enough without an automatic tax hike that will increase that price every year, with absolutely no discussion about how it will impact household budgets and small businesses across the Commonwealth,” commented Lyons. “Working together, we will be able to roll back this egregious example of taxation without representation.”

Teams will be out collecting signatures this Saturday, November 2nd, from 10am to 4pm at the following locations:

Market Basket in North Andover, 350 Winthrop Ave (Rt 114)
