Some of my jobs

So today I am going to teach you how to milk a goat.  Everyone thinks you just have to pull on the goat's teat but that is wrong because you will hurt the goat.  First you have to put your hand around the teat as close to the udder as you can. Then you have to squeeze it pretty gently but with a lot of strength from the udder down to the teat. It is kind of like squirting water out of a water balloon feeling.  You keep doing it until it feels kind of empty.  Sometimes when you are milking and you know there is more milk but the goat is holding it back you can push the teat up into the utter a few times and more milk will come out.  Some goats like when you do one teat at a time and some like it when you go back and forth between the teats. I took some pictures and will put them on my blog for you.
I have two types of milking goats.  I have LaMancha goats and Nubian goats.  My Nubian goat named Camo produces the most milk each day.  My two LaMancha goats that are in milk are named Flower and Sweetie.
On Martin Luther King Day Sweetie had two kids, a boy and girl.  I named the boy Martin because of Martin Luther King, and I named the girl Rosa because of Rosa Parks.  One week later Flower had a kid who I named Tulip.  I have to bottle feed Tulip 5 times a day because she was so tiny when she was born she could not nurse from Flower so Flower did not take her back when she was strong enough.
I also have two baby lambs that were born last week and this week.  One is a babydoll sheep and the other is a cross between a babydoll sheep and a shire sheep.
I really love to take care of my animals.  I hope you learned something new today.
