Joseph E. Sacco, 76

Mr. Joseph E. Sacco, age 76, died peacefully on Friday, June 14, at the Wilmington Health Care Center.  He was the beloved husband of Margaret R. Sacco, who died in 2006.

Mr. Sacco was born in Everett, October 6, 1936, one of eleven children of the late Anthony and Anna (Russo) Sacco, and was raised in Everett.

He served in the U.S. Army in the years following the Korean War.

Mr. Sacco retired from the regional sorting facility of the U.S.P.S. in Woburn after 20 years of service.

He leaves a son, Michael S. Sacco of Tewksbury; a daughter, Jacqueline Albert and her husband Stephen of Townsend; two grandchildren, Stephen Albert of Tewksbury and Maria Albert of Townsend; two brothers, Raymond LePore of Everett and John Sacco and his wife Joan of TX; three sisters, Delores Osbourne and her husband William of Stoneham, Arlene Johnson of Wilmington, and Dorothy Rainone of Everett; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also father of the late Joseph A. Sacco, who died in 1988.

Visiting hours Tuesday, June 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, phone (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.  His funeral will begin Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 19, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.  Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
