Karen J. McKenna, 54

Karen Jeanne (Reagan) McKenna, age 54, a resident of Billerica for the last 26 years, died at her home on Monday morning, June 24, after a courageous eight month fight with Ovarian Cancer.

She was born in Lowell, June 28, 1958, a daughter of the late John J. and Dorothy (Gifford) Reagan, and raised on Tanglewood Road in Tewksbury.  She graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1976, and went on to earn an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Newbury College. She used her cooking skills throughout her life and was known for her awesome and creative dishes.

In spite of her culinary background, she worked in sales at Nortell Networks, customer service at Comcast, and sales and service for Smith and Nephew Co.

She loved to travel with her family, and will be lovingly remembered as having devoted her life to her family.

She was the proud mother of David McKenna, Dennis and his wife Kellie (Edeman) McKenna, Stacey McKenna, all of Billerica, and Shaina McKenna of Chelmsford; beloved grandmother of Alia and Ava; was the former wife and remained dearest friend of David G. McKenna of Chelmsford; devoted sister of Pauline Reagan of Chelmsford, John and his wife Danise (Russ)  Reagan of Watertown, NY; sister-in-law of John “Jack” and Carol (Pelza) McKenna of Billerica, Dorothy and Edward Morrill, and Helen and Thomas Sears all of FL, Paul and Cindy (Graham) McKenna, Mary and Gary Casterlin, and Marianne (Robinson) McKenna all of Billerica; and many nieces and nephews including her Godson, Tim Reagan.

She was sister of the late Ronald “Ronnie” Reagan; daughter-in-law of the late Dorothy and David McKenna Sr.; sister-in-law of the late Evelyn and Peter Haines, and the late Robert McKenna.

Visiting hours Thursday, June 27, from 3 to 7 in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, phone (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.  Her funeral will begin Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass Friday, June 28, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.  Burial will follow at St. Marey Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.  Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
