Obituary: Longtime Tewksbury Resident, 66, Worked at Billerica Lodge of Elks

Janice Spatola worked at the Emerald Rose Restaurant in Billerica.

The following is an obituary courtesy of Farmer and Dee Funeral Home.

Janice (Capano) Spatola, 66, a resident of Tewksbury for 25 years, passed away at home on Sunday, May 4.

Born in Boston on August 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Bongiovanni) Capano.

Janice was raised in Revere, attended Revere schools and graduated from Revere High School in 1965.

She was currently employed as a waitress at the Emerald Rose Restaurant in Billerica and as a bartender at the Billerica Lodge of Elks.

She enjoyed numerous activities especially cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children, Matthew A. Spatola and his fiance Ashley Hanifin both of Tewksbury, Michelle Searle of Seattle, WA and John Searle and his wife Holly of Longview, WA; two grandchildren, Kayla and Unity Searle; her former husband John S. Spatola of Rowley; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours Thursday, May 8, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Friday, May 9, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
