Teresa C. Honyotski, 81

Longtime Tewksbury School Bus Driver

Teresa C. (Pianka) Honyotski, age 81, a resident of Tewksbury for over 30 years, passed away at home on Thursday, December 20, 2012, with her beloved family by her side.

 

She was the beloved wife of nearly 50 years to Joseph E. Honyotski, who passed away on October 7, 2008.

Born in Malden on July 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Walter Pianka and the late Stella (Sokol) Pianka.

Teresa was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden Catholic Girls High School in 1950.

She resided in Walpole until moving to Tewksbury in 1979.

While residing in Tewksbury, she was a communicant of the Holy Family Parish-St. Marie's Church and previously attended the Holy Trinity Church of Lowell. Teresa was a former member of the Holy Trinity Church Choir.

Prior to her retirement in 1999, Teresa worked as a bus driver for the Tewksbury Transit Company for more than 25 years.

She enjoyed knitting, quilting, sewing and according to her family "loved to cook".

Teresa is survived by one son, Peter J. Honyotski and his wife Carole Lisa of Lowell; three daughters, Marie L. Jollymore of Litchfield, NH, Diane T. Long and her husband Michael, and Lori A. Honyotski all of Tewksbury; six grandchildren, Vanessa Pettengill, Kerri Warenda and her husband Robert, Amanda Long, Ashley Wheaton, Brandon Long, and Jake Jollymore; six great grandchildren, Marcelino Hernandes, Ali Pettengill, Kayleigh Jollymore, Edward Warenda, Rhiannon Wheaton, and Isabella Warenda; one brother, Walter Pianka and his wife Ann of Lincoln; one sister, Sr. Lorraine Pianka, SSND of Wilton, CT; also many nieces and nephews.

Teresa was the mother-in-law of the late Donald B. Jollymore. 

Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 27, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the . Her funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish-St. Marie's Church, corner of Chamberlain and Grafton Sts., Lowell. Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in Teresa's memory may be made to the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Mission Advancement Office, 345 Belden Hill Road, Wilton, CT 06897-9732.
