Candy & Soda Tax

Governor Deval Patrick has unveiled his final state budget plan.  Buried in this thing is a proposal to tax candy & soda.  I guess we have left out kids from the tax roles.  It would appear that an increase in spending on education should be shared by those we educate.

TAX, TAX, TAX until everyone is broke Tax more so we can waste more seems to be the mantra from the left. The government has found new way of taking money from the children. If we ran our household like the government manages its governing ability we too would be broke. BRING YOUR THROW AWAY spending to a screeching halt and stop treating everyone as though they were rich. The answer is to lower the taxes and reduce the spending, everyone understands that. Go ahead ruin another day!

Don, the issue in America is that the right is no better! They just spend on different things. We need a true conservative party in this country. Dump the "Moral Majority" crap and get out of peoples private lives! I am conservative (fiscal) but moderate socially (some even call me socially liberal) as I don't think my personal beliefs should be the law of the land. I am a Catholic but don't believe Catholic doctrine should be held over a non-Christians head a a law of the land! IMHO we need to find "leaders" who watch the wallet and the Constitution regardless of personal feelings!

We are literally being nickled and dimed to death. Candy and soda tax and that will be followed soon by the expanded bottle bill. The State's revenue for the year has exceeded what was expected and they want more. When is enough, enough. Hope that automatic gasoline tax increase gets killed.

We need to give the spenders something else to think about during the next election period. They are totally Consumed with buying votes. What can we buy next? I say it's time to pay for past spending abuses and spend our money as though it was your money. We need a change in the election cycle. Replace spenders with thinkers.
