How to deviate from our local zoning by-law should be researched by our town manager as Planning Board recently stated is needed in order for them to continue discussion on ways to achieve that deviation. I have done my homework and would like to share facts with residents and builders on case law that defines the proper way to provide for those times an applicant makes this request. To give a variance is wrong and to not deviate is an UNFAIR rigidity that serves no zoning purpose. Hopefully our leadership will do right and not continue to ignore the advice of the Planning Board to do that research in order to bring forth the article to Town Meeting floor.
