Eliminate the Lottery and Bingo
While I no longer cover Tewksbury, it remains close to my heart.
As a result, I've been following the Slots debate closely. And I write just as a person and a friend of Tewksbury.
So, i guess I have a couple of questions.
For the Slots supporters, what are the failsafes in place to make sure Penn National delivers on all promises? Is there bonding?
And for the Slots opponents -- you have made clear your outrage over a gambling parlor in Tewksbury, and your disdain with gambling funds being used to bolster town revenue. I assume then that once this plan is defeated you will also be moving to ban lottery sales and bingo in Tewksbury and will seek to reject "lottery aid" from the state?
