Transportation Bill

The Transportation Bill which is being proposed in the State House is looking to add new taxes to the tune of $500 million.  They want to increase the gas tax, cigarette tax, and add a new sweeping tax.  The new tax is on computer & software SERVICES.  They now what to apply the sales tax to services.  This is a very slippery slope.  This is the backdoor approach to increasing the income tax.  This is very dangerous and they are beginning with one of the mainstays of our State economy.  If they get away with this one, which service will they pick next?  Car repairs?  Landscaping? Medical?  Legal? Banking? They are going to reach deeply into our pockets.  They do not need more revenue.  They need to be more frugal with what they already have.  They work for us or do we work for them?
