911 Hang Up Leads to Domestic Assault Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 911 call was transferred from State Police on Wednesday, July 24, at 2:00 a.m., but was dropped before speaking to a reporting police. 

State Police said the caller was reporting trespassing, but no other information was provided. 

Officers responded to the scene on Beech Street and arrested Jacob Trevor Burrill, 19, of 88 Temple Street, Tewksbury, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.

Warrant Arrest for Intoxicated Man

An officer was sent to Caswell Motel to check on an intoxicated person on Tuesday, July 23, at 9:36 p.m.

Michael Daley, 44, of 37 Longwood Ave., Saugus, was then arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Additional Incidents:

On Monday, July 22, at 5:25 a.m. a 911 caller said there was a woman passed in her vehicle at Holiday Inn on Highwood Drive. An officer checked on the woman, who was all set. She moved to another spot.

On Tuesday, July 23, at 12:53 a.m. Lowell Police called to report an intoxicated man who just left Saints Medical Center. An officer was sent, but the man was gone on arrival.

On Tuesday, July 23, at 6:53 a.m. multiple 911 callers reported a vehicle fire on South Street. The vehicle was moved off the roadway and eventually towed.

On Tuesday, July 23, at 12:23 p.m. an officer called into the station to report a stolen motor vehicle. A resident claimed that a four wheeler was stolen out of his yard.

On Tuesday, July 23, at 1:00 p.m., police received multiple calls for downed wires and tree limbs that came down on Main Street and other areas in town as a result of severe weather.
