Alleged Drug Deal Leads to Arrest of Medford, Oxford Men

After conducting surveillance at Fresh Express, police witnessed two men in an alleged drug deal.

Police conducting surveillance at Fresh Express arrested two men after officer witnessed an alleged drug deal involving cocaine, morphine, and Oxycontin.

Tewksbury Police announced Wednesday that on Tuesday, June 3, while on Shawsheen Street they watched two men in what they determined to be a drug transaction.

Following the incident police arrested Michael A. Albano, 58, of 5 Richard Street, Medford.

Albano was charged with two counts of possession to distribute cocaine, distribution of cocaine, possession to distribute a Class A substance, possession to distribute a Class B controlled substance and conspiracy to violate narcotic laws.

Police said the Class A drug charge was for possession to distribute morphine while the Class B charge was for Oxycontin.

Also arrested in the incident was Christopher M. Beurman, 47, of 43 Leicester Street, Oxford.

Beurman was charged with possession of a Class B substance and conspiracy to violate narcotic laws. Beurman's drug charge was for possession of cocaine, according to police.

Both Albano and Beurman were scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Wednesday.
