Alleged Drunk Driver Tools Around Ocean State Parking Lot

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

An alleged drunk driver made her situation considerably worse when she chose not to cooperate with the arresting police officer.

According to a Tewksbury Police report, dispatch received a call on Saturday, Oct. 27, reporting a silver Toyota driving around the Ocean State Job Lot parking lot. According to the caller, there were two women in the car and when they stopped to ask a question, it appeared the two were intoxicated.

Officers were sent to the scene and the car was pulled over the car at Main Street and Old Main Street. Details of what happened next were not immediately available but during the course of the investigation and arrest, the driver allegedly assaulted the arresting officer.

Corinne A. Wall, 56, 129 Fells Ave., Medford, was arrested and charged with OUI-liquor (2nd offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

On Sunday, Oct. 28, a resident called police to report that his 14 year old son was out of control and had assaulted family members. Officers responded to the scene and, after an investigation, the 14-year-old was removed from the home.

Arrested was Jerry Carpenter, 66, 2201 Archstone Ave., Tewksbury. He was charged with one count of assault and battery.

Additional arrests:

Michael Anthony Willey, 22, Tewksbury, was arrested on Oct. 28 and charged with OUI-liquor, failure to grand right of way, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Daniel A. Silk, 48, 23 Carnation Drive, Tewksbury, was arrested on Oct. 27 and charged with malicious destruction of property and assault and battery.

Jose A. Marra, 41, 261 Pleasant St., Tewksbury, was arrested on Oct. 27 and charged with assault and battery.

Additional incidents:

On Sunday, Oct. 28, at 6:13 p.m., police received a call regarding a motor vehicle accident at 1480 Main St. According to the caller, a car had slammed into a pole. Full emergency response was sent to the scene. The driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to Saints Medical Center in Lowell for treatment of his injuries.
